A dry catch

Hi,

Last year I went to Egypt.
On our way to a desertlake we saw this fisherman.
It was just outside Cairo at the so called ''salt-lakes''.
The saltlakes are man-made lakes created under the regime of an ancient pharao. They were a great source of water and for the fishing industry. But now these lakes become salter as the natural fresh water sources dry up and the underground contains salt. These fisherman can hardly get around because there is almost now fish anymore in the lakes.

NOTE: This isn't caused by global warming, It's a natural process going on for over decades.

Adjustments:

Contrast, B/W and a gradient

Sadly my camera suffers of noise problems, even at ISO 100 and at daylight some images are filled with noise. That's why I had to adjust the sky with a gradient.

A dry catch means an empty or bad catch for a Fisherman.
I'm not sure if it's the same metaphor in English
